Tomorrow commences Halloween
when spooks and spirits raid the scene
when death is praised and evil hallowed,
food is sweet and deeds are callow
Though darkness creeps and winter nears,
we truly have no cause to fear!
for we as Jews put up a fight!
By countering dark and spreading light,
choosing life instead of death,
and affirming God who gives us breath.
So those who have the will and power
to cast some light in this dark hour,
please come to school at half past seven
to praise our loving God in heaven.
